This is a recipe for seasoned soy sauce, or yangnyeom ganjang. Koreans typically use a sauce like this for dipping -- mandu (dumplings), various buchimgae (fried things, like vegetable pancakes) and jeons.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ½ tbsp vinegar (distilled white, rice vinegar, or balsamic vinegar)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 stalks of green onion cut small
  • l/2 tsp hot pepper power (gochugaru 고추가루)
  • l/2 tsp sugar (optional)

Recipe Steps:

  • Mix well and serve in a small dipping dish.
