Cafe Sua Da
Coffee was first introduced into Vietnam by French colonists in the late 19th century. Touted as one of the best coffees in the world, Vietnamese coffee is with finely ground Vietnamese-grown dark roast coffee individually brewed with a small metal French drip filter. Vietnamese coffee is not just a drink, but an experience. Cafe Sua Da has deep rich notes of coffee, caramel and chocolate flavor.
Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 or 2 tablespoons Cafe Du Monde French Roast Chicory Coffee
- 2 tablespoons condensed milk - more if you want it sweeter
- Hot Water (almost to a boil)
- Vietnamese Coffee Filter
Recipe Steps:
- Pour 2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk into a glass or coffee mug.
- Add 2 tablespoons of ground coffee to the base of the Vietnamese coffee press. Tightly screw on the top of the Vietnamese coffee press. The coffee should be tightly packed well.
- Place filter on the glass or mug with the sweetened condensed milk. Pour enough hot water to the top of the coffee filter. Be very careful. Let it sit for 30 seconds.
- Place the coffee filter hat on top of the filter. The coffee will very very slowly drip. Be patient.
- Once the coffee finishes dripping, slowly and carefully remove the filter.
- Mix together the coffee and condensed milk. Enjoy!
