Dduk (tteok) is not exactly a dessert, since Koreans really don't eat dessert. It is a sweet that is served for special occasions, like birthdays, or other celebrations. These days people are making dduk, which already comes in many forms, with more non-traditional ingredients, like banana. This modern take on dduk uses banana.
  	  	Recipe Ingredients:

  		  			- 2 very ripe bananas

  		  			- l/2 cup of butter

  		  			- 1 cup sugar

  		  			- 2 eggs

  		  			- 1 1/3 cup sweet rice flour (chapssalgaru 찹쌀가루)

  		  			- 1 tsp soda

  		  			- l/2 tsp salt

  		  			- l/2 cup walnut, crushed

  	Recipe Steps:

  		  			- Heat oven 325 F.

  		  			- Get a loaf pan (or a regular pan) ready, oil or butter the sides.

  		  			- Mince bananas well, then add melted butter and eggs, beating well. In a separate bowl, mix sugar, rice flour, soda, salt and walnuts. Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the wet, then spread into the loaf pan.

  		  			- Bake for 40 - 45 mins at 325F. Turn the heat off and leave it in the oven for 5 minutes. Test it with a toothpick -- if it comes out clean, it's done.
