Pityrosporum folliculitis and acne
What are ingrown hairs? Ingrown hairs, also referred to as pseudofolliculitis and 'razor bumps' are caused by improper traditional hair removal techniques. Which includes shaving, waxing and tweezing. Friction from tight clothing can worsen it. Pseudofolliculitis that is certainly infected is named folliculitis. It is most common in males with coarse or curly beard hair. Instead of the hair growing up and out, it grows under the surface, causing a bacterial infection.
