Main dish typically serves with rice.
Recipe Ingredients:
3 lb. pork, in 2 inch cubes or serving pieces if using chicken or combination of both
6 cloves garlic, crushed
2 bay leaves
1 tsp. sugar
½ tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. ground black pepper
2 tbsp. oil
½ c. vinegar
2 tbsp. soy sauce
½ c. water
Recipe Steps:
Marinate meat with all the ingredients, except oil and water, for a couple of hours or overnight.
Bring to a boil; immediately lower heat and simmer in marinade and water for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add oil and stir occasionally at medium heat for around an hour. Cook until meat is tender and brown as desired.
