Recipe Ingredients:

  • 3 lb. pork, in 2 inch cubes or serving pieces if using chicken or combination of both
  • 6 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • ½ tbsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp. oil
  • ½ c. vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • ½ c. water

Recipe Steps:

  • Marinate meat with all the ingredients, except oil and water, for a couple of hours or overnight.
  • Bring to a boil; immediately lower heat and simmer in marinade and water for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add oil and stir occasionally at medium heat for around an hour. Cook until meat is tender and brown as desired.
