Pork Adobo
Adobo
Main dish typically serves with rice.
Recipe Ingredients:
- 3 lb. pork, in 2 inch cubes or serving pieces if using chicken or combination of both
- 6 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp. sugar
- ½ tbsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp. oil
- ½ c. vinegar
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- ½ c. water
Recipe Steps:
- Marinate meat with all the ingredients, except oil and water, for a couple of hours or overnight.
- Bring to a boil; immediately lower heat and simmer in marinade and water for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add oil and stir occasionally at medium heat for around an hour. Cook until meat is tender and brown as desired.
