This sauce is good for making jorim, or dishes which are simmered in this type of sauce for a while. Types of jorims include dubu jorim (tofu jorim), gamja jorim (potato jorim), bukuh jorim (dried pollock) and others. You can also use this sauce and experiment with different vegetables, cooking on low for a while.
3 tbsp soy sauce
l/2 tbsp sugar
l/2 tbsp hot pepper powder (gochugaru 고추가루)
1 tbsp chopped green onion
1 tsp sesame seed
1 tsp sesame oil
Mix the ingredients well. Pour over your item (tofu, dried fish) and cook on low heat for 15 minutes or more, depending on what you are cooking.
