Hyunmibap (Brown Rice)

If you have a rice cooker, you may have a 'brown rice' setting. Generally it takes longer to make brown rice than white rice. This recipe is for cooking brown rice on the stovetop.
Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 cup of brown rice
- 1 1/2 cups of water
Recipe Steps:
- Wash the brown rice thoroughly and add the water. Let it soak it for 1/2 hr or longer.
- Bring to a boil on high heat, turn the heat down to medium and continue cooking uncovered, stirring occasionally.
- Once water shrinks down to the rice level, turn the heat down to low. Close the lid and leave it on for 30-40 min, stirring once or twice. Turn the heat off, and leave it on the stove for 5-10 min before serving. Fluff up with a rice scooper.
